Design with a hands-on background

Getting baptized at Life.Church.

I'm an Adobe-certified graphic designer based in Chandler, Oklahoma. My work runs across digital content, print, apparel, promotional items, environmental graphics, and e-commerce, and most of it has been made for real people in real moments, not for a portfolio.

Design, for me, started with getting things done for the people around me. I learned by making the thing that had to go on the screen Sunday morning, the shirt that had to be ready for the event, the product page that had to sell. That pressure taught me to work fast, hold a brand together, and care about whether the design actually did its job.

Ministry media

I serve at First Christian Church of Chandler, where I design weekly service slides, sermon graphics, the pre-service announcement loop, and seasonal event media. I also run sound, camera, EasyWorship, and the Facebook Live stream, and I play bass and drums on the worship team. On Youth Sunday, Pastor Lori chose me to write and deliver the full message, and I designed every slide that carried it.

Faith is not a side note to my work. I was baptized at Life.Church, and using design to serve a church and point people somewhere good is exactly the kind of work I want to keep doing.

Competition and craft

Through Francis Tuttle Technology Center and Business Professionals of America, I placed first in the state Design and Pitch competition and went on to place at nationals. Pitching my work to judges sharpened something a lot of designers skip: being able to explain the reasoning behind a design out loud, to people who decide whether it is good.

E-commerce and motion

I manage storefront content, product visuals, and digital merchandising for Timberline Traders across Shopify and other channels, a skill I grew up around working trade show floors with my family. Lately I've been producing short-form product and church motion pieces with Higgsfield and learning to build longer, full-length video assets. I pick up new tools quickly and I would rather learn the right one than force the familiar one.
